In order to do this I employed many different methods on how i could accomplish producing a informative, unique and impressive CV.
The first thing i did was to start understanding the network of creative people i have access to and we recently had a trip to Teeside University and i was able to gain information from people were working in the media industry or did (Journalists, Radio and videographers)
On the 9th of May, alongside my classmates travelled to Teeside University to speak to people from the industry whith jobs from different sectors, with different job roles and they all discussed how they got that particular job and why they love doing it.
In the first meeting we spoke to two men who have jobs in journalism, one who was a freelance journalist and the other worked for Lad bible. They both discussed the positives and negatives, although there were few negatives, that come with their job the main one that was brought up was the secure hours and work time that comes with their job. The man from Lad bible told us that he has set hours a week and theres a lot of security that comes with his job whereas the other, who was a freelancer, said that his life and income came from going out and putting the hours in and finding work. He did add to this by saying that he felt free as he wasn't working for someone.
Both men starting with Sports Journalism and they mentioned how it was great top be able to go to many sporting events and be able to write about them, alongside be able to have the opportunity to travel for work.
Afterwards a women who worked for BBC and who is now a lecturer spoke to us and told her about how she got the job and what she got to experience whilst under that employment. She got the job through interviews and going through the normal stages of employment but then by luck she got to be a journalist for the London 2012 Olympics which she then decided to move up and do more work like that. What i learned from this women was that it's ok to step out of your comfortable zone and experience something new and you never know if you don't try, its safe to say i left these meeting and the university with a lot more knowledge of the media industry as i was educated in a more personal face to face way.
I asked the people of the best way to get into the industry and the answers i recieved told me that it is wise to build a good network of contacts and resources to gain access in the desired field. Then they said that you should try and get your work out their and it will get you noticed, plus it adds more value to your CV/ portfolio which helps when an employer is wanting to identify someones creativity.
Then I also created a Business card in order to present myself and provide people in the industry with my contact details alongside a web address present which will lead to my show-reel, in order to present the work i have made or have helped produce in some way. This allows people to see my creativity in its film form swell as on paper as all my experience and accomplishments will be present on the CV.
I kept with a simple but smart design, the black and white allows the words to feel more prominent on the card as the contrasting background allows them to 'pop' out. Also i felt like the black and white color scheme fits the classic film style so i believed it suited.
SHOWREEL
I have also made a showreel website to fully represent my creative nature through showing past projects i have worked on. As explained before this is so people can 'read' my qualifications and know that know the theory side to film making but the show reel allows my to show that i have put the knowledge to use.
